Emma has a new car seat cover from Bokoo (
www.bokoocovers.com) and I thought I would make a blanket cover to go with it. I had just enough fabric to make it. I found the tutorial on pinterest.com:
http://www.make-it-do.com/sew-it/baby-car-seat-cover-tutorial/. I followed a few of the directions and then made it into my own. Here is the final product:

| I used jersey fabric on the top and minky fabric underneath. Not the most breathable fabric, so I definitely WON'T be leaving this closed except to escape the weather. |

| This is what it looks like when you open the blanket cover. This is how I will probably have mine most of the time unless I see someone eyeballing my baby to come over and touch her in the face. YIKES!!! Maybe I should make a sign that says "look only - please don't touch!" |
 |
| I added a piece of Velcro to the blanket so it could attach securely to the car seat (this was not in the tutorial). I didn't want to top of the blanket to cave in on the baby... |
